Hey beauties! Just a quick post today to share some beauty bits from the Birthday Haul. I shared last year so I figured I’d continue the tradition. Over the month of September, and part of August, I’ve picked up some treats for myself here and there (i.e. this haul) and some new MAC goodies, some of which you’ve seen and some which you will see me talk about soon. But the items featured here were all gifted to me by others (either directly or purchased with gift certificates given by loved ones, friends and family members).
Mr. Bear gifted me a Chanel Joues Contraste Powder Blush in Rose Initial and my first bottle of Chanel No. 5. It’s surprising to me that I’ve never owned the fragrance before. This is the eau de parfum version which is the the most powerful, long-lasting concentration of the fragrance. Using a gift certificate, I picked up the Chanel Glossimer in Beige Star.
Again, my lovely man spoiled me with his choice of the Yves Saint Laurent Couture Eyeshadow Palette in No. 9 (Love). Using gift certificates, I added Palette No. 11 (Ballet Russes) as well as a Rouge Pure Couture in Noir Laque.
A gift from the in-laws, I’m smitten with this MAC Look in a Box (Natural Lip).
I still have a few gift certificates I haven’t used, but there is nothing I’m dying to have at the moment (well, not from the brands that are available here, anyway). I’ll try to review some of these products over the coming weeks, as usual, so be on the look out!
When I first mentioned that it was my birthday month (in my Tartelette Palette Giveaway), I learned that many of you are also September babies! If you have posted any birthday hauls, please share them below! And I think we all know the drill, these hauls aren’t “showing off” but as I’ve said before, for indulging in mutual appreciation with like-minded individuals (i.e. #beautyjunkies).
