Blogs to Love: Meet JC, Jasmin Charlotte

At the end of last month, after a year of blogging, Beauty Isles launched sponsor advertising. Today, I’m so excited to introduce you to Jasmin Charlotte, who blogs over at her namesake, jasmincharlotte.com, a predominantly lifestyle blog with a sprinkle of something for everyone. Many of you may already know Jasmin and I have mentioned this lovely lady before in my social media favorites, so I couldn’t be happier that someone I’ve followed and enjoyed since starting my own blog is my first “Blogs to Love” feature.

My interview with Jasmin…

  1. Why did you start your blog?
I was actually posting a whole lot on forums and getting really into the beauty scene. I wanted a place to put all of my ramblings rather than on Reddit! Then throughout the past 14 months the blog evolved into the lifestyle blog which it is today!
Me: Congratulations on making it past a year, sweetie!
  2.

  3. Describe it (your blog).
It is a hard one to describe – something for everyone! I blog about anything and everything which interests me, which pretty much boils down to three things – adventures, tech and tea! I love talking about what I am getting up to and the adventure around the UK. I work in tech so I have a place for my rambles, and really tea and food is one of the most important things to me!
Me: The diversity of Jasmin’s post is one of my favourite things about her blog!
  4.

  5. What’s the best thing about blogging so far? The worst?
Best thing is definitely the community! People are so awesome. I’ve made so many blogging friends in real life and online. They truly encourage me to keep blogging if I’m ever feeling unmotivated. The worst? That’s a hard one! Probably the amount of time it can take, people think you can just create a post and throw it up there but what with the tech side, social media, photos and all that jazz, it can take a long time!
Me: I know our fellow bloggers can totally relate to that last part! (As well as the first, this community is awesome).
  6.

  7. What are your passions/interests beyond blogging?
Most of my interests are all on my blog! I love cooking, travelling, eating, walking, listening to podcasts, crochet, knitting, cross stitch, and cycling!
Me: It’s fantastic that you share with us the activities in life that bring you joy!
  8.

  9. Tell us your fondest memory. Why did it mean so much to you?
This is a tough one! I moved around a lot, and so I don’t have a lot of time with all of my family in one location at one time. It would probably be a Christmas time when my family from NZ and Australia all came to the UK – they are all coming back for the end of this year and for a little holiday so I’m very excited for that.
Me: Sounds wonderful, time with family is so important, especially when you’re not all in the same place.
  10.

  11. Describe your dream career.
I really enjoy working in tech – it’s such a varied and challenging career. Ideally, I’d like to get into a senior tech consulting position. I also really want my blog to become another income stream, I could never be a full time blogger (I like working with lots of other people!) but it would be awesome if my blog could give me a bit of extra cash to spend on nice holidays.
Me: A nice holiday never hurt anyone. I wish you the best of luck achieving these goals.
  12.

  13. What makes you happy?
A whole lot of things that are up there in my passions! I love travel, I grew up all around the world so it feels odd to keep my feet in one place for too long. I can’t beat a bike ride through London in the summer time, ideally to some kind of riverside pub at the end. Blue skies, cheese, diet coke, cats, science, reading and a good G+T are all up there as well!
Me: Diet Coke…a girl after my own heart.
  14.

  15. Let’s share the love! Link one of your favorite recent posts and tell us why you love and wanted to share it!
My favourite posts to write are my ’10 happy things’ posts where I just chat about things I’ve loved from the past couple of weeks! I was also really proud of my recent ‘Bloggers Guide to SEO’ series as hopefully a lot of people found it useful!
Me: Your SEO series is very useful and I’d recommend all bloggers check it out!

I absolutely loved getting to know Jasmin better and I know you will too! You can find her lovely blog here. Please send my love!
