December Empties…in Gyudy’s empties post the other day, I jokingly commented that at the rate I go through products, I must be eating them. 🙂 Nothing’s changed around here when it comes to the trash. Mini reviews – (Y) is “Yes” I will re-purchase, and (M) is “Maybe” and an (N) is “No”.
December Empties – Makeup
Covergirl Bombshell Mascara (N): If you read my review, you know that I wasn’t a fan of this mascara. It’s finally going bye-bye.
Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara (M): I like the concept of this product, designed for the lower lashes. The tiny wand allows for tons of control. But I didn’t find myself reaching for it all that often.
Buxom Lash Mascara (N): I don’t remember anything about this mascara. :/
*Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner in Lionfish (Y): Love, love this beautiful copper brown and used it almost daily!
Urban Decay Glide-On Eye Pencil in Smog (M): I can’t say I won’t ever buy the UD 24/7 Glide on pencils again, but I’m starting to realise that there are not my favourite.
Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch in Radiant (Y): One of the best highlighting/conealer pens out there. Very comparable to the MAC versions.
December Empties – Skincare
Supergoop Age-Defying Sunscreen Oil SPF 50 (M): Not as greasy as you would think and the smell is very pleasant (reviewed here).
Clinique Acne Solutions Clarifying Lotion (Y): A recent re-discovery. I’m getting me a full size.
Boscia Tsubaki Cleansing Oil-Gel (N): It works alright, but not the best oil cleanser I’ve used. If you’re interested, you can read up on this one and the others I have in my rotation here.
*Murad Essential C Eye Cream SPF 15 (Y): It’s not easy to find an eye cream with SPF that moisturizes well without irritating the eyes. This one does that. And the full size comes with a convenient pump applicator which is always a bonus in my book. 🙂
Lancome Renegerie Lift Multi-Action Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 15 (M): A decent moisturizer, even though it didn’t wow me.
Lancome Genifique Yeux Youth Activating Eye Concentrate (N): For me, this didn’t absorb well into the skin/eye area.
Algenist Regenerative Anti-Aging Moisturizer SPF 20 (M): In general, I am fan of the Algenist skincare products that I’ve tried.
December Empties – Bath and Body
*C.O. Bigalow Hair and Body Wash for Men (Y): You all already know that the man and I are fans of the White Elixir (clean citrus notes of bergamot, grapefruit and mandarin with undertones of peppery wood spices). He decided to get crazy and switch things up last month with the Green Elixir (crisp, lush herbaceous notes with warm amber, musk and elegant woods) 🙂
Bath and Body Works Body Wash and Lotions (Y): I swear these must be the only body products that I use.
Laura Mercier Body Souffle in Fig (Y): Super luxurious body cream that smells delicious!
December Empties – Hands and Feet
Bath and Body Works Hand Washes (Y): I won’t repeat myself.
*Les Couvent des Minimes Nourishing Hand Cream (Y): I’m not that fussy when it comes to hand cream. This was pleasant to use and non-greasy.
Laura Mercier Hand Cream in Fig (Y): Like the body souffle, smells divine. I got three travel sizes in a Holiday Kit and probably would repurchase that way in the future.
*Ahava Mineral Hand Cream (Y): Lightweight, absorbs easily, light, non-offensive smell.
Dead Sea Essentials by Ahava Tea Tree Foot Cream (Y): One of the best I’ve used. My other favorite is by Burts Bees, but this is much more lightweight and absorbs very quickly.
December Empties – Fragrance
*Tocca Fragrance in Colette (Y): First off, look at this bottle – isn’t it stunning? This has been empty for about two months now but I didn’t have the heart to get rid of the bottle. In fact, after I took this photo I put it right back on the dresser. Besides the spectacular aesthetic, the scent itself is lovely – spicy and sweet. My favorite! Notes include: Bergamot, Mandarin, Lemon, Juniper Berry, Pink Peppercorn, Jasmine, Violet, Cyclamen, Pine Needles, Incense, Musk, Sandalwood, Amber, Vanilla, and Cedarwood.
December Empties – Hair Care
I reviewed these Vidal Sassoon products here.
What did you empty out this month?
