Besides my inability to count, I am super excited about my latest haul which helped me to finally complete my Makeup Geek Eyeshadow Palette. Makeup Geek is the brand and business built by the lovely entrepreneur and beauty guru, Marlena. Her products have fast gained immense popularity among the beauty community as well as makeup lovers everywhere. And for good reason, the quality is amazing for the price! Her single eye shadows which are pre-magnetized retail for $5.99 USD.
I first purchased two (no, three) of her eye shadows almost a year ago: Peach Smoothie, Creme Brulee and Stealth. Having been thoroughly impressed, I’d always planned to add to this trio. After all, I owned a small Z-palette that screamed to be filled. So a few weeks ago, I placed my long anticipated order. By the way, it needs to be said: Makeup Geek is completely awesome for making the products available to everyone – they ship everywhere – even to The Bahamas which is so rare!
Anyway, as mentioned, I can’t count and ended up ordering seven new shadows instead of six (a small Z-palette holds nine).
The three eyeshadows I already owned (Stealth, Peach Smoothie and Creme Brulee):
FYI: Peach Smoothie is a dupe (or pretty darn close) to the discontinued MAC shadow in Samoa Silk.

My complete Makeup Geek Eyeshadow Palette:
I’d envisioned this as a partner palette to accompany other palettes that may be more limited as well as to use along side singles or duos that are more colorful. As such, it is comprised mainly of neutral transition shades for all over crease work, blending and the brow bone.
Because I over-bought, Stealth got left out. Could this be an excuse to fill another palette? Maybe. I’ve been eyeing the new foiled shadows that Makeup Geek recently released. They look stunning! Have you guys tried any Makeup Geek products? What are your thoughts?
Don’t forget to check out the Beauty Isles Blogiversary Giveway! I’m giving away a Too Faced Melted Kisses set, Lorac Pocket Pro and NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss set!
