Following from the Makeup Gift Guide posted yesterday, today I’m featuring some of my favourite holiday skincare gift ideas. Not to repeat myself, but one of the best things about this time of year is the value kits. Skincare is an investment and these little kits help me decided whether to invest further. More importantly, they are a great way to introduce someone to a brand you like or acquaint yourself with a brand that you’ve been wanting to try.
I had hope that all of the products that I ordered would have been in my possession, by now but, unfortunately, I’ve only received one so far. Anyway, I’m very familiar with the brands and have sampled the products in the past so can definitely say that they are worth it.
Rodial STEMCELL Super-food Discovery Kit: I’ve been eyeing this brand for a while. It is on the expensive side, so I thought this kit at $39.00 USD was a great way to test out the products. I think it would be a great gift for folks 30+ (of which I am one). 🙂 The Stem-cell line is touted as “nutrient-packed products with revitalising super-food oils, omegas, vitamins and stem cell technology, to feed dehydrated skin”. The kit includes: Stemcell Super-food Facial Oil, Stemcell Super-food Day Cream, Stemcell Super-food Glam Balm Multi and Stemell Super-food Cleanser. I must say the sizes are larger than I expected. Yay!
The two sets that I’ve already ordered but have not arrived are:
Ole Henriksen Beat the Holiday Rush Trio: It’s no secret that I LOVE Ole Henriksen as a brand and that I’m obsessed with their cleansing cloths. In this limited edition holiday set which retails for $18.00 USD you can try all three of the different wipes in the 10 pack travel sizes: the clean truth, nurture me and grease relief. These sizes usually retail for $8.00 USD each so its a good value as well.
Kate Somerville Simply Glowing Kit: This one’s for mum. She simply loves Kate Somerville and recently ran out of her exfoliator. So I picked this kit up which comes with 2 oz. travel sizes of the Gentle Daily Wash and ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment as well as a full size of the new Dilo Oil Restorative Treatment. It was the oil that got me – it promises “to strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier improving skin hydration, improve the look of skin firmness and elasticity, even skin tone, and help to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles”. The kit was already a pretty decent value (considering how pricey Kate Somerville can be) but I am a little bummed I didn’t wait a little longer as I could have gotten it for 25% off.
Caudalie Favorites Set: Hand picked, must-have products by Caudalie’s Founder Mathilde Thomas. Set includes travel sizes of the: Lip Conditioner, Hand & Nail Cream, Vinosource Sorbet, Cleansing Water and Beauty Elixir (the size usually sold for $18.00 USD/£12.00. The favourites set retails for $32.00 USD. I love the Caudalie brand and there are other sets that I am eyeing. But this one makes a great gift and introduction into the brand.
Ole Henriksen the Magnificent Seven Holiday Collection: Set includes seven of Ole Henriksens’ bestselling products and is a fabulous introduction into the brand. According to the company, this set is a “comprehensive regimen expertly targets everything from fine lines and wrinkles to large pores and rough texture. Collection Includes: african red tea foaming cleanser, truth serum collagen booster, truth revealed super crème, sheer transformation, invigorating night treatment, walnut complexion scrub and ultimate lift eye gel. A great value at $59.00 USD but if you’re interested in the brand and looking to spend a little less, the Three Little Wonders Mini Kit is worth look as well.
Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Intensive Trio: As my mum really loves Kate’s exfoliators (and I too enjoy the exfolikate) I may get her this trio of three travel sized versions. They can be split up as well, if you’re wanting to give three separate people or keep one and give two away – whatever. The trio retails for $44.00 USD but as mentioned, the 25% off Friends and Family sale is on right now, making the deal better!
Murad Acne Starter Kit: I’m contemplating the Acne Starter Kit as a gift for one of my nieces but I’m unsure. It’s a great deal at $29.95 but I may just decided to take advantage of their Black Friday deal and top up on my some of favorites like the Anti-Aging Acne Regimen (it’s $120.00 but I can get $25 off with the code: BLACK).
Hope you guys have found these Holiday Skincare Gift Ideas helpful. More tomorrow!
