It’s Sunday, a day of relaxation and, perhaps, a little healthy indulgence around these parts (usually, anyway). And what’s more indulgent than a bit of a haul? I received an Influenster VoxBox in the mail and thought I’d share a little sneak peak, along with some small bits I’picked up at Sephora and MAC.
Let’s start off with my Influenster #IDoVoxBox. If you don’t know what *Influenster is, it’s basically a platform through which its members can review and potentially receive free products to try. VoxBox campaigns are when members receive complimentary full-size products to test and review. Whether you get a box is supposedly determined by surveys you are invited to take as well as your social media impact score (how many followers you have across various social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook etc). Anyone can sign up, making it very accessible. I never expected to receive a Vox Box to be quite honest and while I was quite surprised, I was also thrilled at the opportunity to try these products.
The #IDoVoxBox is a wedding themed box, as the name would suggest. According to Influenster, the products included are aimed at having “our brides, bridesmaids and guests looking and feeling beautiful for the big day!”. They included snacks, which I thought was brilliant. I’ve been in several weddings, i.e. as part of the bridal party, and trust me, eating becomes secondary to all of the other things you have to do – so easy to carry, energy packed munchies are a must!
What was in my box:
- Skinnygirl Tasty Nutrition Bar – Lemon Swirl
- Indeed Nanoblur Primer
- Covergirl Outlast Stay Luminous Foundation
- Covergirl Outlast Lipstick
- Sahale Snacks Glazed Nuts Almonds with Cranberries Honey
- Urgentrx Ache and Pain Relief to go Powder (Packet)
All in all, it’s a fantastic box. In particular, I was really happy to receive the Covergirl Outlast Stay Luminous Foundation which I’d actually been wanting to try and the Nanoblur Primer seems really promising. More details to come soon.
At MAC, I couldn’t help but grab two of the Limited Edition Le Disko Dazzleshadows in Boom Boom Room and She Sparkles while my Sephora purchase was a little more practical. Having recently finished yet another Benefit Gimme Brow (I love that stuff), instead of repurchasing another, I decided to try something new: the Lash Food BrowFood Tinted Brow Enhancing Gelfix. I also scored a deluxe sample size promo of Too Faced’s new Born This Way Foundation.
As usually, reviews will be forthcoming. Have you hauled anything lately?
