My Mini Lipsticks and Mini Giveaway (CLOSED)

I did a very dangerous thing. Curiosity got the best of me and on a particularly lazy afternoon, I decide to explore “my collection” (Ting will get that) of mini lipsticks gathering dust in my drawer. I don’t tend to use minis, particularly the ones I get free (as gifts with purchase) unless they happen to be in a formula that I’m really interested in.  Why was this dangerous? Well, now there are at least three formulas I need the full size versions of.

Mini Lipsticks and Giveaway

Besides the Smashbox Be Legendary lipstick Duo that I purchased during Sephora’s Black Friday sale last year, the balance of these mini lipsticks were promos or perks with purchase.

Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick – Fig

Mini Lipsticks and Giveaway

Mini Lipsticks and GiveawayAvailable in cream and matte formulations, the “cream shades are formulated with Shea butter for lasting hydration and vitamins C and E to protect, leaving lips feeling ultra-soft with a lustrous finish”. Fig is a shade after my own heart. It is that kind of grape wine red that I crave.  The formula is very comfortable, with good slip and an average wear time. Full sizes retail for $20.00 USD at Sephora.

Smashbox Be Legendary Long Wear Lip Lacquer – Coral

Mini Lipsticks and GiveawayMini Lipsticks and Giveaway

Described as a “long-wear, lip-hybrid formula with high-impact staining pigments for color that goes on as a lacquer and then adjusts to a stain for eight hours of color”. I’m really impressed with formula on these – intense color, a comfortable, smooth application and non-drying feel. The stain left behind didn’t last for quite 8 hours, more in the range of 5 – 6. Decent enough. I don’t necessarily need another Coral in my life, but this is a good one. Full sizes retail for $24.00 USD at Sephora.

Makeup Forever Rouge Artist Natural – N6 Copper Pink

Described as “an ultra-creamy lipstick with a translucent soft, shiny finish” that keeps lips hydrated for eight hours after application”. The MUFE Rouge Artist Natural’s promise a smooth texture that glides on effortlessly for ultimate comfort while adding a natural sheen to the lips. Another one that is a breeze to apply, extremely comfortable on the lips with a decent wear time for a non-long wearing lipstick. Full sizes retail for $20.00 USD at Sephora.

Sephora Color Reveal Lip Balm – Unique Pink

This “lip balm that adjusts to your unique pH to create a customized pink shade” reminds me of the coveted Dior version. It promises to add volume to the lips and features a smackable honey flavor. It is moderately hydrating and I enjoy the fact that you don’t get that too bright fuchsia that’s common with typical “mood” lipsticks. On me, anyway, it develops into a subtle, warm, pink. A full size retails for $13.00 USD.

Sephora Rouge Infusion Lip Stain – Red Essence

The Rouge Infusion Lip Stains offer a “zero-texture lip stain” that delivers intense color with no sticky residue. They promise buildable coverage that leaves lips stained, soft, hydrated, and refreshed upon application. The descriptive “zero texture” comes pretty close to the mark. While I’ve recently discovered the lightest weight liquid lipsticks ever (the Laura Geller Luscious Liquid Lipsticks), the Rouge Infusions are pretty weightless. Fairly comfortable on and lips and non-drying, the “stain” lasts for about 5+ hours. They build O.K. but can become tacky with too many layers. For the price though and this beautiful semi-gloss finish, they are pretty impressive. Full sizes retail for $14.00 USD.

In fact, I was so impressed by the Sephora Rouge Infusion Lip Stain that I fully intended to purchase a full size in Store. However, when I got there, I was distracted by the newer Lip Cream Stains which I’ve also heard good things about.  Here are some of the swatches. As you can see the have a very matte finish.

Sephora Cream Lip Stain Watermelon Slice 09

The colour that stood out to be the most was 09 Watermelon Slice – a perfect shade and name for Summer, right?

Now about the mini giveaway. Having enjoyed the Cream Lip Stain in Watermelon Slice so much, I decided to buy an extra – for one of you guys. And because I hadn’t used it, I also decided to throw in one of the mini lipsticks that came in the Smashbox Be Legendary lipstick duo (Posy Pink).

That Sephora Color Reveal Lip Balm looks like a dupe for Dior Lip Glow! I wonder if the formula is similar. 🙂 Good luck to everyone who entered the giveaway! 🙂

    1. It is similiar, but they Dior Lip Glow is creamier I think and it creates a deeper pink. 🙂

  9. I love Sephora Color Reveal Lip Balm all the colors are beautifull!

    1. I think there’s only one universal shade in the Color Reveal Lip Balm but I could be wrong…
