Bath and Body Works (Mini) Haul Clean Hands

We all love hauls, right?

I am addicted to these bath and body works hand washes and haven’t met one I didn’t like. I keep them in every bathroom and the kitchen. So, I couldn’t be happier when a friend of mine, on a recent trip stateside, picked these up for me. I love her.

The foaming ones are the best and these scents are pleasant. Island White Pineapple is very sweet and tangy, I wouldn’t pour it all over myself, but for a hand wash it will do. The Wildberry Freesia smells like something to eat, like I should be having it with cool whip.

I run out of these soaps so quickly and I can’t purchase them where I live so when I travel to the U.S. I usually hit up a bath and body works immediately to stock up like I am preparing for Armageddon. If you are from the islands, you understand.

The lotion, Beautiful Day, is o.k. It’s a bit floral for my taste, but nice nonetheless.

Bath and body works products are awesome. They run so many specials so the products turn out to be really affordable.

What are some of your favorites?

When you live in the tropics, sunscreen is essential. I ordered this bad boy online from Sephora a few weeks ago. Unfortunately as of this post, the product is out of stock, but I would sign up for Sephora’s in-stock email notifications if you interested because this kit seems like a great value (Retail: $32.00 USD).

MURAD ANTI-AGING MOISTURIZER SPF 20 FOR BLEMISH-PRONE SKIN

Hello Ladies and Gents,

Today I want to talk about a product that has been performing solidly for the past few months. In fact, I am on my fourth tube. The Murad Anti-Aging Moisturizer SPF 20 is designed, as the name suggests, for those of us prone to acne. It is part of Murad Acne Skin Care line

Murad Anti-Aging Moisturiser

From the age of thirteen well into my twenties, acne, both cystic and pimples of the “regular” variety plagued me. While I do not suffer from the all consuming, horrific kind of acne that I use too, hormonal acne as well as the occasional bacteria-nurtured “zits” remain a reality. Therefore, I continue to seek out and use products designed to treat and combat such occurrences. Right now I would describe my skin type as combination to oily, characterised by slight dehydration (which is entirely different from “dry”).

According to Murad’s website “this remarkable 3-in-1 moisturizer controls blemishes, boosts hydration and superior protection against age-accelerating UV rays to prevent wrinkles.” Murad goes on to explain that these three features are Kombucha Collagen Defense® (to stimulate and maintain collagen production), SPF 20 (protects against sun damage) and Willow Bark Extract (controls oil). Incidently, this product has also received a “GOOD” rating on Paula’s Choice.

Welcome to Beauty Isles

Welcome Rocks and Sea Featured ImageHello Ladies and Gentlemen,

Welcome to Beauty Isles. This being my first post, I first want to thank you for stopping by.

I am a beauty junkie. Let’s just get that part over with and we can move on to better things – like more beauty products. I have been into skin care for many years and entered into the world of make-up about ten years ago. Given these interests, I am starting out my blog with a focus on make-up and skin care, but hope to expand into other beauty (body care/hair care) and related areas (lifestyle/fashion/travel), as I have wide range of interests. This last part is much further in the future but that’s the current plan, anyway.

I live in a beautiful place in the Caribbean (The Bahamas), but when it comes to beauty and fashion products, we don’t always have access to the latest and greatest, so a part of my blog will be seeking out what is available in this market. That being said, the focus of Beauty Isles is larger. I will always do my best to seek out what is relevant and more importantly, what is worth looking into (in my humble opinion) for my readers. So look out for product reviews, hauls and other special features!

I wanted to create this space not only as an outlet for my beauty products obsession and beauty-related perspectives but to learn from others who share the same passions. So please feel free to share by posting comments of emailing me! You can contact me at: kimmy@beautyisles.com.

Thank you for joining me on this journey.

Yours truly,

Kimmy
