Project Update Posts 2015

I randomly decided that there are a few posts that I would like to update. You know how it goes. Beginner Blogger learns a few things after a couple of months and the quality of posts get better (hopefully) over time. In my case, there are a few posts where the quality of the photographs keeps bugging me. I’m not saying that I’ve become so sort of photography expert – far, far from it. But even older posts get some viewership and to me, it’s worth taking some time to spruce them up a bit.

To keep myself accountable, I’m sharing with you guys my goal to update four posts in next few months – to be completed (hopefully) by the end of March 2015. I dub this: Project Update Posts. Lol.

These posts are:

Project Update Posts

As mentioned, it’s the photographs in particular that are my main concern. Obviously, it would be extremely time consuming to try to do this on a regular basis or for all posts. “Perfection” or the perception of “perfection” is a dangerous thing and if I tried to achieve that, I’d be at it forever.  My more modest objective is just to take some new photos of of the eye looks and swatches in the above mentioned posts.

Wish me luck! 🙂

  1. Hey Kimmy, best of luck with your project! I thought about doing it at one point as well, but I was told it’s better to move on and produce new posts that are of better quality. Although I think the posts you want to redo photos for are popular posts that people will keep searching for and clicking on, so it’s a great idea!

    1. I heard the same as well about moving on which is why I try not to stress about it too much. But I also heard it is worthwhile to update some select content based on relevance – the posts I chose, as your kindly said, are some of my more popular and to me, it’s worth it, but definitely wouldn’t try to do this for everything – not even 50% or even 20% – just a few carefully chosen ones. 🙂 xo

  2. Good luck with your project! I too strive to have better pictures on my blog this year. But, I’m not going to stress over it either! I love your blog just the way it is girl!!!! You are amazing! 🙂

    1. Thank you, Julie. Your kind comment made my day, truly. 🙂 xo

Good idea though! I’d love to improve some pictures myself but decided it is better to just move forward you know. I got myself a tripod, ordered a lighting kit and a plan to get organised and write better content – a new year, a new start! Good luck with your project 😀

    1. Thank you, Silke! I don’t have a tripod – let me know how you find using it. My one big “upgrade” was a light box. 🙂 Like I said, I’m definitely not trying to do this on a regular basis – just with a few select posts. 🙂
