Shopping Online (Favourites, Deals and Promo Codes)

I do most of my shopping online and thought it might be fun to include a list of some of my favourite shopping websites (beauty and non-beauty) for you guys to check out (at your discretion, of course) along with a short description of each. Any time I know of a deal or promo codes, I will add those as well, as appropriate.

All sites marked with an “+” offer international shipping and those marked with “++” offer shipping to The Bahamas, specifically. I will also place a “♥” next to those sites which accept Bahamian Billing addresses.

Many of you may already know of these sites, but I thought it may be useful, particularly for those who may live in places where local shopping is limited.

This page will be periodically updated. I hope you guys enjoy and hopefully discover some new favourites.

FAVOURITE ONLINE SHOPPING SITES

Neiman Marcus++♥: I love shopping the Neiman Marcus’ website especially for beauty. They make purchasing and shipping with an international billing and/or shipping address so easy! Love, love them!

*AMAZON++♥: You can find everything and the kitchen sink on Amazon.com or Amazon.ca . I’ve been shopping here for years. Since before college, I think. In fact, if I recall correctly, almost everything I purchased for my dorm room came from Amazon. Plus Amazon hosts all kinds of other retailers, ships globally and offers international billing which is a bonus for internationally shoppers who may not be able to buy directly from a particular retailer’s site. The Amazon US site ships to 65+ countries. For Bahamian shoppers shipping to an address in The Bahamas use Amazon Canada Amazon.ca which offers shipping to The Bahamas as well as even more countries that the U.S. site

*BEAUTYBAR.COM+: GLOBAL SHIPPING TO 65 COUNTRIES HAS LAUNCHED! The great thing about this site, for beauty shopping, is that you can find brands that may not be carried in the more popular retailers like Sephora or ULTA. For example, this is where I shop for Kevin Aucoin. Another fantastic perk of shopping on beautybar.com is that it is part of the “familyhood” of sites sharing one online cart: diapers.com (baby), soap.com (household supplies), wag.com (pet supplies), yoyo.com (toys), casa.com (home goods), afterschool.com (kids), vine.com (natural products), bookworm.com (books) and look.com (children’s clothing). Its basically a one stop shop and there are always great deals on. I used to buy all of my household supplies at soap.com.

*EBATES: Before you shop, make sure you sign in through Ebates which is cash back shopping. Everyone can use Ebates (even outside of the US and Canada), as long as the store you are purchasing from will ship outside of the U.S. and Canada. Ebates basically pays you to shop. Yes, that’s right. If you shop through Ebates (that means you login into your ebates account and then from there go to the site you wish to shop at), you get a certain amount of cash back from your purchases. When they are running special deals, that percentage back can be quite high. Payments are made to you every quarter and you can choose a cheque or to be paid through paypal. There are alot of cash back sites, but Ebates has been around for a long while and is an affiliate to over 1,600 online stores. You can sign up here.

*HAUTELOOK++♥: Hautelook is a Nordstrom Company. Its basically like Nordstrom Rack but online. They do flash sales on a wide range of designer brands in: men and women’s clothing, men and women’s shoes, children’s clothing and shoes, beauty, home goods and decor and more. You can get really deep discounts which is why I love this site. You can sign up for hautelook membership here.

The only thing that is not so great is the shipping times (it can take a long while for your packages to get to you sometimes, but I’ve heard that they are trying to address this). Hautelook enables international shipping through collaborating with MyUS.com (a global shipper that allows you to shop in the U.S. and ship your purchases internationally).

MAKEUP GEEK++♥: OMG. Think MAC but better quality and cheaper. Makeup Geek is a make-up brand owned and started by Marlena Stell. She also has a blog and YouTube channel incidentally. But am including her brand because she makes some of the best make-up on the market. Best part? She ships internationally and accepts international billing addresses including The Bahamas. I highly encourage you to check her out at makeupgeek.com. And if you do, tell her I sent you (although she has no idea who I am, lol).

SEPHORA+: How much do I love Sephora? Addict doesn’t seem to quite cover it. They’ve got the online beauty shopping thing down and carry one of the widest ranges of well-known beauty brands, including their own Sephora brand which includes some pretty good products. The only downside is that they do not ship to The Bahamas, though they do ship to the following countries: Germany, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, South Korea, and the United Kingdom. You can shop the U.S. site and select the country you would like to ship to on the My Basket page.
