Considering the fact that I was in the U.S. for a good 4 days, I was rather restrained in my purchases (in terms of number of items, not necessarily cost). However, it was a family trip and while we did shop, it wasn’t the primary agenda item.
If any of you saw my wish list on Instagram a few days ago, you know I had a few pricier items in mind – hence the title – high end haul. Usually, when I travel abroad, I go for brands I cannot get at home. We carry some of the major designer cosmetic brands and some U.S. drugstore brands but not all. I’ll probably go into more detail about what brands are available in The Bahamas in an upcoming Local post. Anyway, I managed to pick up most of the items on my wish list and will be reviewing some of them in the coming weeks: Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks (Holiday Set), Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette (Limited Edition), Too Faced Romantic Eye Palette, Dior Star Foundation.
The exceptions to those reviews will be the Laura Mercier Body and Bath Holiday Sets and the Beauty Blender Solid. I may talk about them in an empties or favorites, but, mostly likely won’t be featuring them in a separate post. My reason? Well, the Laura Mericer Bath & Body products I’m actually splitting with someone so I won’t be experiencing the whole lot. Speaking of which, the Holiday Sets were a major splurge (so expensive) but I’ve wanted to try her bath/body products for years! Especially the Creme de Pistache. Having used one of the body souffles last night, I can already tell you already, it’s a dangerous situation.!
