Yes, that’s right – I’m back again with yet another limited edition YSL palette: the YSL Clash and White Couture Eyeshadow Palette. I just can’t seem to get enough of these beauties…they draw me in like a moth to a flame.
The “Clash and White” edition is decorated with zebra print covered in a plastic resin coating – which is interesting. The design concept seems kind of odd for the season, but I’ll go with it.
I like the description of the palette on the Harrod’s website: Radical and feminine, Couture Palette Collector – Clash & White Edition unveils a new camouflage-style harmony of five eye shadow shades. At its heart, a deep black is put in tension with the purity of a white and a pearl grey, the push of an avant-garde green and the softness of an iridescent sand. The colours clash and confront each other, awakening new horizons. More than just an animalistic illusion, this collector’s edition palette is a must-have: a luxury accessory available only in a limited edition.
If you didn’t already know, the YSL Courture palettes tend to include mostly satin and shimmer shades with an occasional matte thrown in. In this case (clockwise from left to right) we have a frosty-satin white, a matte black, a satin cool taupe-grey, a golden olive green and a light sandy brown.
Here I’ve swatched the shades (dry) in day light and then in dim lighting with flash:
In my opinion, the focal point of this palette is the olive green shade. I actually don’t have much in the way of green eyeshadows in my collection so I was happy with this composition. Again, as has been my experience with the formula of the YSL couture palettes, the shadows in this palette are soft and creamy. They last all day without creasing.
Here are all five shades in Clash and White Couture Palette the applied to the eyes:
Like the Black Addiction palette, this one is an exclusive. In the U.S. it retails for $60.00 USD and is exclusive to Neiman Marcus and in the U.K. (as far as I can tell) it retails for £48.00 and is exclusive to Harrods.

The packaging is stunning with the zebra print and you created a gorgeous eye makeup with it too. The pigmentation also looks pretty good, definitely worth the money!

I have a thing for zebra print, so yeah… Love the shades, they’re so smooth and pigmented!
Woah the shadows look so creamy smooth and pigmented! I tried one of their palettes a few years ago but wasn’t impressed with the color payoff. Maybe they have reformulated it? Very pretty eye makeup look you came up with, Kimmy! Olive suits you well! <3
The shades are amazingly pigmented. I like the look you have created as well 🙂
This is seriously to die for!!! You always have the BEST MAKEUP KIMMY!!!! Please do a post on your faves from 2015!
This is a lovely palette, and the look you did with it is really pretty! For some reason after seeing the promo pictures I though this palette had some mauve/purplish shades. It’s not quite what I expected but still beautiful.
