International Beauty Swap with Gyudy!

After having such a wonderful experience with my first international beauty swap, I knew that I wanted to do it again. This time around I got to share in the fun with lovely Gyudy who blogs over at Gyudy’s Notes of Beauty. I started following this Italian beauty shortly after starting my own blog and have been in love ever since.  As per protocol we both agreed on a budget. Gyudy is in Italy and I’m in The Bahamas (which carries mostly U.S brands) so we focused on brands that other didn’t have easy access to. And let me start by saying that I was overwhelmed and taken aback by her massive generosity and care in curating a stunning selection of beauty goodies to send to me.

Unboxing her package was so much fun! And how lovely is the beautiful tin box which housed these treasures?

Now, as I said, I was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of items included which in my estimation went way beyond the budget. Gyudy has assured me that this is because she has access to discounts and gratis items through work, but I’m still in shock! And feeling a little guilty…but also like such a lucky (and grateful) girl! 🙂

The Makeup and Skincare brands she sent include: Kiko Cosmetics, Pupa, La Roche Posay, Vichy, Essence and more! None of which I can find in The Bahamas! There are way too many things to talk about in one post, but I’ll probably split the items into several reviews/first impressions over the coming weeks. I’m SO excited to play – especially with the Kiko items. They look AMAZING! In fact, I’ve already tested some of them including the Kiko Paris Blush which I featured on Instagram.

I just want to say, again, Thank You Gyudy! You’re an amazing blogging buddy and I’m so glad to have “met” you during this crazy but wonderful blogging journey!

Have any of you ever participated in an international beauty swap (or more locally)? Please share your experiences!

  2. Oh my, that is quite a swap! Gyudy definitely outdid herself here! I’d love to eventually hear what you think of these. I am finishing up my tube of Effaclar Duo before trying the new plus version. I heard it’s even better!

    1. Gyudy did indeed out do herself! The makeup reviews are coming up soon, the skincare ones probably a little later on. I LOVE the original Effaclar Duo so suffice it to say I was very excited to receive this new version. I’m using it already. Too early to offer any indepth thoughts but so far, so good. 🙂

    1. You should definitely consider a swap if you are comfortable with the concept, they are really so much fun…especially with someone you’ve really connected with. 🙂

  5. An international swap looks like so much fun, a great way to try out a brand that is not available in whatever area you may be. I’ve never done one but would definitely love to in the future. Kiko is such a great brand to get your hands on x

Such an awesome beauty box! I’m not a blogger but have always been interested in doing a swap like this to be able to try some brands that aren’t so easy to get here in the U.S.

    1. Thank you for your sweet comment, Natalie. You should definitely look into doing a swap like this with a fellow beauty lover that you trust. I’ve seen threads on forums like Sephora BT Community and such. Maybe that’s somewhere you can start. Thank you for stopping by, hun. 🙂

  10. Ooh La Roche Posay! LOVE THAT BRAND. She got you great items! The Kiko things look interesting too. I recently did a swap, and it’s so much fun 🙂
