After having such a wonderful experience with my first international beauty swap, I knew that I wanted to do it again. This time around I got to share in the fun with lovely Gyudy who blogs over at Gyudy’s Notes of Beauty. I started following this Italian beauty shortly after starting my own blog and have been in love ever since. As per protocol we both agreed on a budget. Gyudy is in Italy and I’m in The Bahamas (which carries mostly U.S brands) so we focused on brands that other didn’t have easy access to. And let me start by saying that I was overwhelmed and taken aback by her massive generosity and care in curating a stunning selection of beauty goodies to send to me.
Unboxing her package was so much fun! And how lovely is the beautiful tin box which housed these treasures?
Now, as I said, I was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of items included which in my estimation went way beyond the budget. Gyudy has assured me that this is because she has access to discounts and gratis items through work, but I’m still in shock! And feeling a little guilty…but also like such a lucky (and grateful) girl! 🙂
The Makeup and Skincare brands she sent include: Kiko Cosmetics, Pupa, La Roche Posay, Vichy, Essence and more! None of which I can find in The Bahamas! There are way too many things to talk about in one post, but I’ll probably split the items into several reviews/first impressions over the coming weeks. I’m SO excited to play – especially with the Kiko items. They look AMAZING! In fact, I’ve already tested some of them including the Kiko Paris Blush which I featured on Instagram.
I just want to say, again, Thank You Gyudy! You’re an amazing blogging buddy and I’m so glad to have “met” you during this crazy but wonderful blogging journey!
Have any of you ever participated in an international beauty swap (or more locally)? Please share your experiences!
