Affiliate Disclosure

Some links on Beautyisles earn us a commission if you buy. You pay the same price. This page explains where that money comes from, how we label it, and what it can never buy.

01

The plain-language version

When a product link is marked as commission-earning, Beautyisles may receive a small share of the sale or another qualifying action. The retailer pays that commission; it is not added to your order.

The full disclosure on this page does not replace the short notice beside a recommendation. You should not have to visit a separate policy to discover that a link can pay us.

Look for wording such as: “Beautyisles may earn a commission from this link” or “Ad — we may earn from qualifying purchases.”
02

How Beautyisles earns money

Beautyisles is an editorial publication funded in part by affiliate partnerships. Amazon Associates is our first programme. We may also work with other retailers or affiliate networks when they offer a useful shopping route for readers.

A commission can be triggered when you follow a tagged link and make a qualifying purchase within the retailer’s tracking window. Returns, cancelled orders, excluded products and other retailer rules can mean no commission is paid.

You are never required to use our links. You can search for the product yourself, buy it elsewhere or decide not to buy it.

03

Amazon Associates statement

As an Amazon Associate, Beautyisles earns from qualifying purchases.

Amazon controls the checkout, price, delivery, returns, customer service and the terms of every Amazon order. Buying through one of our links does not make you a Beautyisles customer.

04

How we label affiliate content

  • Articles and guides: a clear disclosure appears before the first commission-earning link, with additional labels where distance or layout could weaken the connection.
  • Product cards and buttons: the commercial nature of the link is stated in or immediately around the module. “Buy now” or “affiliate link” alone is not treated as enough.
  • Social posts: affiliate or sponsored content receives an upfront, unambiguous label such as “Ad” where the whole post is commercial.
  • Video: disclosures appear in the video itself when the recommendation is visual or spoken, and near commission-earning links in the description.
  • Gifted products and paid work: free products, press trips, sponsorships and other material relationships are disclosed separately. An affiliate notice does not hide a larger relationship.
05

Editorial independence

Commission rate is not a product-quality score. We choose topics and products for their relevance to a reader’s concern, evidence, formulation, usability, value and availability—not because a retailer pays more.

A product can be included without an affiliate link, and an affiliate relationship does not guarantee praise. Brands and retailers do not receive advance approval of our conclusions unless a factual check is necessary; they cannot buy a verdict or remove justified criticism.

Our Editorial Standards and Methodology explain the rules behind recommendations in more detail.

06

Prices, availability and retailers

Beauty prices move quickly, and formulas, names, pack sizes and stock can differ by country. A price or availability note reflects what we found when the page was checked; the retailer’s listing and checkout are the final source for price, taxes, delivery and eligibility.

We try to send readers to the appropriate regional storefront, but you should confirm the product variant, seller, size, ingredients and delivery terms before paying.

07

Tracking and privacy

Affiliate links contain an identifier that tells the retailer a visit came from Beautyisles. After you leave our site, the retailer or affiliate network may use cookies or similar technology under its own privacy and cookie notices.

Our Privacy Policy explains the information Beautyisles handles. Our Cookie Policy explains site cookies and how to change your preferences.

08

The standards we follow

For US readers, we follow the Federal Trade Commission’s principle that a material relationship must be disclosed clearly and conspicuously near the recommendation. For UK readers, we follow the CAP Code and ASA guidance that affiliate advertising must be obviously identifiable before engagement.
